Image critique sessions to help you improve
I’ve loved guiding photographers through their unique journeys for years. Each month, I’ll host a live image critique where you’ll get detailed feedback on your compositions, edits, settings, and techniques—helping you refine your skills and grow as an artist.
Photograph dogs in the breathtaking landscapes of British Columbia—from lush forests to dramatic mountain views—while learning to create powerful images in truly inspiring locations.
About the venue and shooting locations
Although this isn’t a retreat, we’ll have a beautiful house all to ourselves for the theory and editing classes. My intention is for this workshop to feel like more than just a course — I want it to be a warm, welcoming experience where you feel comfortable, relaxed, and truly at home. This venue is located in Maple Ridge.
This workshop isn’t just learning — it’s an immersive experience, capturing real moments in a stunning environment. Photoshoots will take place in the beautiful Golden Ears Provincial Park and its surroundings. You can expect stunning sceneries such as mountain lakes, rainforests, and waterfalls.
Your workshop’s instructor and host
Instructor
Audrey Bellot
Hi, I’m Audrey, and I’ll be your teacher for this very special workshop in Canada!
I love traveling and photographing dogs in breathtaking landscapes. Most of the time, you’ll find me on the road with my two dogs, Laos and Sunni, exploring in our van—wild, free, and full of adventure.
I’ve been fortunate to receive several awards, and my work has been featured in magazines and online publications. Last year, I was honored as Domestic Animal Photographer of the Year in one of the world’s largest international photography competitions.
During this workshop, my goal is for you to feel like we’ve known each other for years—so don’t be shy! I’m naturally introverted, but I love having fun, sharing great food, and of course, cuddling the cutest dogs you’ll ever meet.
I can’t wait to meet you and share this unforgettable experience together!
Host
Rachel Crisp
I’m Rachel and I currently live in Vancouver, BC, with my two Border Collies, Inka and Kola.
My passion for photography started in 2013 when I first got Inka. She was my main inspiration and led me to many wonderful places and meaningful relationships. From capturing dogs’ personalities in nature to photographing dog sport competitions, photography became a creative outlet I truly love.
Today, photography is a hobby, and I most enjoy capturing the bond between humans and their dogs. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dogs and competing in dog agility.
I first worked with Audrey through online coaching in 2021, and I’m so excited to welcome her to British Columbia for the first time, photographing dogs in some of the stunning locations this region has to offer.
Testimonials
Lovely words from past workshop’s students
« With Audrey, you experience a suspended, unforgettable moment. Full of sharing, laughter, experiences, and discoveries. She’s very dynamic and has a fantastic sense of humor—her workshops are never boring! This is my second one, and once again, I’m thrilled.
Generous, she opens the door to her world, as beautiful as it is magical, with locations she carefully selects and prepares for you. For me, she is without a doubt the best! Thank you so much, Audrey, for these wonderful moments and for helping me develop my creativity. Big hugs to Laos and Sunni.«

« Dear Audrey,
Thank you so much for your time, patience, advice & fun on last weekend’s workshop in Bavaria. I absolutely love the way you always prioritise the dogs’ feelings & wellbeing above everything. I also really enjoyed going back to the same locations the second day giving us the opportunity to correct and improve on our images from the day before.
I was nervous about attending a workshop by a French person in Germany, worrying that I wouldn’t understand a word that was being said but you soon put my mind to rest with your excellent English! I was blown away by the amount of information you shared over the 2 days and am still buzzing about the trip! Many thanks. »

« I loved this workshop in Samoëns! The atmosphere was fantastic, and we stayed in a very cozy chalet. Audrey had lots of lovely surprises for us: her book, delicious snacks and meals, as well as “bonus” photoshoots.
The locations were stunning, enhanced by the autumn colors, and the dog models were exemplary. Audrey is an exceptionally talented photographer—approachable and full of humor. I’m already dreaming of the next workshop with her. You can book with your eyes closed! Thank you, Audrey 😘 »

« I participated in the Stockholm Workshop from 2022 hosted by Tuss and given by Audrey, and it was AWESOME! Our group consisted of 9 students and Tuss opened her home for us to enable Audrey to do the theory parts there. The two days were divided in 2 parts, theory and shooting. Both the theory and shooting were very educational and very interesting. We had amazing models from very different, but appropriate for the 2 shooting locations, breeds.
Audrey has great didactic skills so she can explain things clearly, calmly and in an interesting manner. I especially liked that she invited everyone to not be shy when it comes to asking questions during theory and for help and feedback during shooting. The workshop days were packed, 12 hours per day approximately, but they went by so fast! I learned so much and had so much fun! Thanks again Audrey, and also a ‘thank you’ to Tuss for her hospitality!«
