DOG PHOTOGRAPHY ADVENTURE IN ICELAND
What discoveries await you on this journey?
Iceland has held a special place in my heart since my first visit in 2020. The vast freedom, and stunning landscapes helped me reconnect with myself. Wanting to share this experience, I created a special event where like-minded people can come together in these breathtaking surroundings to photograph their favorite subjects: dogs!
While I initially envisioned a workshop or a retreat, the word adventure perfectly captures the essence of this trip. Together, we’ll photograph stunning dogs in breathtaking locations, all meticulously planned for an unforgettable experience.
Though it’s not a traditional workshop, I’m always happy to share tips and advice along the way! If you need help, I’ll be there to lend a hand. We’ll also take a few editing breaks, where I’ll gladly share my editing process and help you refine your own photos.

Schedule & Locations
DAY 1 – Sunday, August 10
11 am: I’ll be picking everyone up between 11 am and 12:00, either at Keflavik Airport (P1) or just outside Reykjavik—whichever is more convenient for you!
Tip: I suggest arriving in Iceland at least a day earlier to avoid any stress from flight delays or cancellations. Since our first cottage is a 2-hour drive away, I won’t be able to arrange later pick-ups.
After we’ve all met, we’ll hit the road to our first lodge in South Iceland!
On the way, we’ll stop for a bite at a café and grab some groceries for the trip. It’s going to be a great start to our adventure!
Before we head out to photograph our beautiful models, I’d love to take some time to share a few key tips to help you capture the best shots. If you’re unsure about any camera settings, we can go over those together, or we can chat about anything else you’d like to discuss!
DAY 2 – Monday, August 11
10 am – 12 pm: Organized photo session.
We will visit the following location with dog models: Gluggafoss.
12 pm – 2 pm: We will then head to Hella to eat in a nice restaurant!
4 pm – 9:30 pm: Organized photo sessions.
We will visit the following locations with dog models: Gljúfrabúi, Seljalandsfoss.
DAY 3 – Tuesday, August 12
6 am – 9 am: Organized photo sessions.
We will visit the following locations with dog models: Skógafoss, Kvernufoss.
10 am – 11 am: Afterward, we’ll take a cozy break at Hótel Skógafoss and enjoy a hot drink together!
11 am – 1 pm: If the weather’s nice and the crowds are light, we’ll hike above Skógafoss to explore some extra waterfalls and enjoy some time together!
1 pm – 3 pm: Lunch break at Hótel Skógafoss.
For the rest of the day, we can either relax or dive into some editing—totally up to how you’re feeling (ps: there is a jacuzzi)
We’ll also pack up for our transfer to the next cottage, which will bring us closer to our upcoming shooting spots.
DAY 4 – Wednesday, August 13
We’ll load up the van with all our gear before leaving the cottage, so we can head straight to the East without needing to make an extra trip back.
5:30 am – 8 am: Organized photo session.
We will visit the following location with dog models: Reynisfjara.
9 am – 10 am: We’ll take a relaxing coffee break in Vik, perfect for recharging before the next adventure!
10 am – 12 pm: We’ll explore some beautiful spots around Vik, and who knows—maybe we’ll even spot some puffins!
12 pm – 2 pm: Lunch break in Vik, the perfect chance to refuel and enjoy the local atmosphere.
2 pm – 4 pm: Due to the tides at Reynisfjara, we might schedule an additional shoot at 2 pm to safely explore the surroundings and make the most of our visit.
4 pm – 5 pm: Journey to the new cottage further East.
DAY 5 – Thursday, August 14
10 am – 5 pm: Time to relax and unwind! We’ll take a short break from our photo sessions to enjoy some downtime. How about a soak in the jacuzzi or a session in the sauna, all set against breathtaking natural scenery?
7 pm – 10 pm: Organized photo session (1h30 drive).
We will visit the following location with dog models: Fjallsárlón, Fellsfjara.
DAY 6 – Friday, August 15
4:30 am – 7 am: Organized photo session (2h50 drive). This location is especially stunning in the morning, so while our night might be a bit short, it’ll definitely be worth it!
We will visit the following location with dog models: Stokksnes.
After the photoshoot, we’ll take a break at a cozy coffee spot to recharge before heading back to our cottage!
7 pm – 9 pm: Organized photo session.
For our last session, we’ll explore the lush mossy lava fields and the beautiful Stjórnarfoss waterfall, which are just steps away from our cottage in the Eldhraun lava field.
DAY 7 – Saturday, August 16
8 am: Time to pack up and leave the lodge in great shape! We’ll aim to check out before 10 am.
11 am: We’ll make a quick stop at a restaurant for a bite to eat and a recharge before we continue on.
2 pm: Drop-off at Keflavik Airport or any other spot along the way if you’re extending your stay in Iceland.
Note: If your flight is also on Sunday, like mine, we can explore some of my favorite spots in Reykjanes together in the afternoon!
